*Position: Java Developer with Content Management Systems experience* *Location: Menomonee Falls, WI* *Duration: 8+ months contract with possibility of extension up to 18 months* *Interview: WEBCAM* *Job Description:* Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Contractor to work as part of a small team to research, analyze, design and develop specialized components for web applications that will integrate with a content management system (CMS). *Responsibilities* · Work with business analysts to understand business requirements · Ability to work independently with very little direction · Design technical alternatives · Develop and unit test code · Work with QA to understand identified issues and resolve them in a timely manner. · Document application design · Timely communication with the PM and the project team *Required Skills:* · Full lifecycle application development experience including working with business analysts, design, development, testing, implementation, and performance tuning · Knowledgeable in Object Oriented design and development principles · Understanding of current best practices of software development including refactoring, test driven development, and continuous integration · Experience with developing secure web solutions · Experience creating UML artifacts · Strong web development skills using Java and one/more application server products like Weblogic / JBoss / Websphere. JBoss is preferred. · Applications development using a relational database management system, preferably Oracle · Good understanding of infrastructure for multi-tiered applications using web server, app server, and database server · Exposure to Java development frameworks: o Spring o Hibernate o Apache Commons o Quartz scheduler o Ehcache (Java distributed caching framework) o Enterprise Security API (ESAPI) · Good automated testing skills using tools like JUnit and Selenium · Good build script development skills using Maven Experience developing integration to a Content Management System (CMS) is a plus.
