This position requires candidates to take a lead role in the creation of Business Intelligence Solutions supporting all Property and Casualty business functions. Candidates should be able to quickly understand existing application architectures and standards. Knowledge in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores and data marts is a plus. The technologies we work with include Informatica, Business Objects, SAS. The candidate needs to have experience researching available data sources and then designing how best to move and integrate that data into our BI environment. To do this, the candidate will most likely use the following technologies. WinSQL, MsWord, MsExcel, Sparx Enterprise Architecture (nice to have, but not necessary - this can be learned), ER/Studio, Informatica, Business Objects. It would be ideal if the candidate had an understanding of ETL processing using Informatica. It isn't necessary for the candidate to know how to code using Informatica, but it would beneficial if they understood the concepts and/or could read Informatica mappings. It would also be helpful if the candidate could read and understand data models. We use Embarcadero's ER/Studio. We're not asking the candidate to do data modeling, but understanding it and how to read a data model is important. Required: 1. Strong leadership and excellent communication skills a MUST! 2. Strong knowledge and experience in the design and development of data warehouse architecture for large volume analytic solutions with specialization in one or more of the following: property & casualty policy lifecycle, property & casualty claims, customer, finance, general ledger, billing, etc. 3. Experience in designing Business Intelligence Solutions to support reporting and analysis. Knowledge of industry accepted design techniques including star schemas. 4. Experience in providing technical leadership to project teams consisting of Solution Architects, Data Modelers, Developers, Analysts, DBAs. 5.
