*Location: Pleasanton, CA (Locals only)Duration: 12+ months* Interview Process: *F2F Interview* is Required We have an immediate need for a *Sr Java Developer* (*Experience with migration from legacy Mainframe to a Web Application)* *Java Developer Description:* *Seeking a Senior Java Engineer who will lead the transition of WISP (a Legacy COBOL Mainframe Billing/Payment System) functionality into the CARE (new Web Based Application). The Java Engineer will be responsible for the transition of all Legacy functionality into the new Web Based application and the decommission of the Legacy application*. The tasks for the Senior Java Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following: Create and manage the overall transition strategy for WISP to ensure all required functionality is provided in CARE Work with team to translate WISP functionality into technical requirements for CARE projects Collaborate with team to ensure all functionality is delivered according to design. Develop and maintain detailed technical design specifications. *Desired Demonstrable Skills:* At least 8 years of proven experience with WISP system. Excellent knowledge on WISP application system development, enhancement, user management, and troubleshooting. Excellent knowledge on WISP/UNIQUE and WISP Report utility. Excellent knowledge on running Claims and Policy Business Processes on the WISP platform. Excellent knowledge on using Netron Fusion, Frames and Screen editor. Excellent knowledge on Microfocus COBOL system, Microfocus File System, and integration of WISP with Microfocus system Excellent knowledge on the following: Java, M/F Cobol, WISP procedural language, and WISP Menu language. Very Strong knowledge in developing back end process to integrate Web application system to WISP system. Very Strong UNIX knowledge with excellent Shell Script and Pearl script experience. Strong knowledge on Web development tools: JavaScript, Servlets, JSTL, Struts, Spring, JQuery, AJAX, JAXB, XML, CSS, HTML, Java Mail, iText, JDBC, and Eclipse IDE. Capability to lead multiple projects at same time.
