Looking for an intermediate+ level Unix Admin w/ Middleware *experience. AIX/Linux,* Solaris is not a requirement. *Roles and Responsibilities: *Deliver server administration and project deployment services to the Performance Engineering customer base. Represent the Performance Engineering Lab team on numerous customer project engagements as a UNIX server SME. Partner with RTS-IS Performance Engineering and Applications teams to deliver best in class performance engineering services and solutions *Position Summary:* Systems Admin - focused on IBM AIX, Solaris, HP Proliant, & Linux based servers On-site production support 08:00 -18:00 EST. Production support services for Windows / UNIX server based systems and products. Support AIX, Windows and Linux based operating system servers. Out-of-hours support for performance lab systems Responsible for documenting deployment and operational standards Plan, document and implement Windows / UNIX based infrastructure changes. Support performance engineers and application development partners with implementing change. Contribute to server deployment and operations standards. Respond to Audit inquiries, manage risk, and pro-actively manage security exposures. Focused on continuous improvement of service, technology and process improvement. *Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities:* Supports production environment by deploying middleware code and troubleshooting performance issues Maintains operation, monitoring and integrity of production systems to meet established standards Ensures infrastructure successfully passes all tollgates and reviews Perform RSAM, Trouble ticket resolution, Vulnerability management and inventory updates. Validates servers are ready for production with the production readiness checklist Interfaces with internal and external business and technical partners *Qualifications* Minimum of 5 years experience supporting and troubleshooting technical issues in a large and complex environment Minimum 7 years experience of working in a Systems Admin/engineering role on Windows / Unix based server environments – Windows, AIX, Solaris and Linux 7 -10 years of infrastructure experience in relation to deploying Enterprise applications on the Windows / Unix Platforms 5 - 7 years of VMWare experience, knowledge of virtualization concepts and techniques Strong knowledge of Web, IIS and SQL products and their integration with he Windows Platform MCSE preferred however not required - will train the right candidate Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills Proven ability to communicate technical and production related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff Results oriented and highly flexible in work assignments Experience in capacity planning, systems performance analysis and optimization in a distributed client/server environment Comprehensive understanding of networks, DNS, web services, tomcat & Java preferred Capability of troubleshooting performance issues. Knowledge of DTRACE would be a plus.
