*Need:Java Programmer Location: Jersey City, NJ Duration: 6-8month * *MUST BE LOCAL TO NJ or NY* Mode of Interview: *1st round phone 2nd round face to face* *Skills Needed -* Experience with *Java programming (at least 5 years). *6+ years in financial services or insurance industry mandatory. Experience with *SQL or Oracle. *Perl, shell scripting is required. Solid production support experience required. This job involves 50% coding and 50% production support. Position is a hybrid of software development and production services support. Ideally a candidate who has done development and managed L3/L4/L5 production support will be a prospective candidate. *Technologies and Skills required –* Java, sql (oracle), utilities like Perl, shell scripting is required. Desired knowledge of *ETL, SDLC, reporting tools Cognos or others is a plus*. .Net is a plus *Daily responsibilities:* Log into the database and generate sql for various queries. Create java user interface to automate various routines for appplication tasks/routines. Triage and debug issues related to existing code. Automate various manual tasks using java and sql. Improvements using automation and technology.
