*Need : System Engineer/ ArchitectureLocation : San Diego, CADuration : 6-12 Months* * Job Description:*This role will act as a *subject matter expert (SME*) for desktop and mobile engineering. S/he will provide design, implementation, technical support and maintenance for an enterprise desktop environment, client applications, printers, user experience, and system management infrastructure. S/he will ensure current processes such as software/hardware development and deployment are properly designed, in addition to providing high level support to other teams. The successful candidate position will work on multiple projects of varying complexities and priorities for the engineering team. Deliverables will vary from assisting with desktop technologies and processes to the deployment and management of desktop IT solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal IT support teams and resources in other departments within the business. This is a high level position with significant operational responsibilities and will require a detail-oriented individual able to follow complex technical instructions. *Key Responsibilities* The successful candidates will possess proven experience in the technologies, areas and applications listed below: Engineering of a standard desktop platform as well as end user experience design and implementation Planning and implementation of remote software deployment to client workstations via remote management tools such as SCCM Assisting with the troubleshooting of applications in relation to application packaging and virtualization The utilization of various scripting methods including VB and PowerShell to automate processes Creation of technical and operational management documentation and updates Working with the change management process in line with organization processes Ensuring all new and proposed software is tested with existing desktop images prior to deployment Execution of queries against systems management databases Planning, prioritization, and organization of work and deliverables Staying current on industry developments and best practices and recommendations by communicating with peers, vendors, and industry contacts *Minimum Qualifications:* 5 years of experience working with Active Directory 5 years of experience troubleshooting and enabling configuration management with Group Policy Objects (GPO) as they relate to the desktop 5 years of experience installing, configuring, automating, and managing Windows XP, Windows 7, Office 2003, and Office 2010 product suites 5 years of experience working with Microsoft SCCM 5 years of experience with scripting technologies such as VB and PowerShell 5 years of experience configuring and troubleshooting issues specific to IE6, 7, 8, 9 Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, including registry and file management Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, PXE, and load balancing Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to complete tasks with minimal instruction and supervision Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of end users, IT and management staff Attention to detail as well as strong organizational, planning, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills *Preferred Qualifications:* Experience working in an *enterprise of 5000+ users*Experience working in healthcare IT Experience with Operating System Deployment installation, configuration and automation via PXE, SCCM, MDT, DISM Expert level experience with Microsoft SCCM in deploying operating systems, applications, patch management, asset management, and desired configurations Strong understanding of SQL/WQL Query language for SCCM queries Experience with desktop virtualization technologies such as Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp Deep and broad understanding of a modern IT environment Knowledge of AGPM, MBAM, DaRT, MDOP, MDT2010/2012, SSO, Device Encryption, and iOS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks&Regards James Miller | IT Recruiter ITBrainiac Inc, Princeton, NJ 08540 Direct: (609-935-3773)*101 | Fax 312.582.2699 Website:www.itbrainiac.
