*Need :Groovy/Grails DeveloperLocation : Minneapolis, MNDuration : 5+ months* Phone *interview to hire* *Position Overview:* Our Information Technology Application Development Services (ADS) group is looking for a software development contractor to work in a team-oriented environment supporting various business functions in the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. This position works closely with business partners and project team to design, develop, integrate, implement solutions and provide technical support for applications written utilizing Groovy/Grails technology. *Deliverables:* Collaborate, mentor, and develop Groovy/Grails application(s) with a team of Groovy/Grails developers Support Open Source Software Compliance Policy and Groovy/Grails Projects Support customer requested application, database, and report enhancements for ADS supported technologies like SQL Server, Groovy/Grails, Java *Responsibilities:* Ability to collaborate and mentor a team of Groovy / Grails developers using Agile implementation methodology. Work with development staff to understand problems with existing software and applications, and provide recommendations for improvement and enhancements. Consult with development staff on technical issues. Provide analytical insight around application design and help define best practices. Support customer requests for application and reporting enhancements in the areas of SQL Server, Groovy/Grails, Jasper *Required Qualifications (skills and experience):* Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of IT concepts, application development best practices, strategies, and SDLC methodologies, architectures and technical standards. Solid background and proficiency in programming languages and tools. 6 or more years of experience in web application development and architecture using current technology trends and sound OO design principals. 5 or more years of experience in: Groovy, Grails, Java, Spring, Spring Security, Hibernate, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery UI, Apache Tomcat, Grails or Spring integration with Active Directory. Experience in various IT regulatory and compliance standards. Knowledge of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs; understanding of shared software concepts.
