LOC – Chicago, IL LOA – 3 months – deadline is October Start Date – 7/21, 7/28 SENIOR HADOOP ENGINEER Purpose of Job We are seeking a Senior Hadoop Engineer for a 3-month role for our engineering team in Chicago, IL. Our machine learning platform, built on Hadoop, creates usage models based on customer data points, enabling highly accurate traffic forecasting. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for assisting with designing and implementing Big Data solutions in Amazon Web Services, and supporting the onboarding of applications to these environments to enable the success of their business initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for refactoring the Java code and re-writing some of the code. They will need to do extensive testing before they deploy the applications on AWS following AWS best practices. The successful candidate must have 5 - 7 years Java programming expertise and 2 - 4 years of relevant Hadoop and software engineering experience.
