*Job Description*

Based in downtown Los Angeles, the Salesforce Business Analyst/Project
Manager will be responsible for supporting the continued growth of
Salesforce. The Salesforce Business Analyst/Project Manager’s primary focus
will be to provide design, build, and testing support along with business
analysis, project management, and general documentation for strategic
enhancement work on the platform.   The Salesforce Business Analyst/Project
Manager will lead/support project activities, platform build efforts, and
associated deliverable development and will collaborate with the Business
Units and program team to define project scope, objectives, requirements,
assumptions, dependencies, value proposition / rationale, and impacted
organizational functions / systems in order to successfully drive project
efforts through to completion.  Initial areas of focus will include the
build-out of Deal Flow functionality, directly working with client’s
investment teams and Marketing process redesign/enablement.

The Salesforce Business Analyst/Project Manager will support the goal of
maintaining critical business and system processes related to the client
lifecycle for the global enterprise and to evolve/expand the capabilities
and usage of the platform.



*High Level Responsibilities:*

·         Supporting ongoing deployment and implementation of
Salesforce.com across the enterprise, with a primary focus on supporting
the management and execution of enhancement initiatives to expand platform
capabilities;



·         In addition, he/she will:

oWorking closely with platform users, IT,  the vendor, and third parties to
ensure performance and functionality of the platform;

oCustomizing the platform as needed and support the maintenance of
integration with related applications; and

oActing in a business analyst role to train users, prepare related
documentation (requirements, training materials, process flows, use cases,
et al) and communicate key messages or address critical questions from the
SFDC user base.



*Detailed Responsibilities Include:*



*Salesforce Support*

·         Perform basic Salesforce administrative activities as it pertains
to project efforts, such as:

·         Create/Managing custom fields, objects and triggers and develop
custom reports, dashboards, and lists for the SFDC user base

·         Troubleshooting issues within the system

·         Supporting implementation of system configurations and
customizations

·         Supporting the automation of processes to simplify and streamline
administrative and reporting tasks



*Business Analysis*

·         Gathering, documenting, analyzing and drawing conclusions
regarding complex data and information

·         Defining, creating and running queries and reports;

·         Supporting Executive Management in the development of strategy
and Executive-level communications.



*User Acceptance Testing (UAT)*

·         Defining, coordinating, and executing user acceptance tests
against business requirements with or on behalf of the business units

·         Documenting test results and developing remediation plans with IT
to address unmet requirement



*Process Design/Re-Engineering*

·         Documenting current state (“as is”) and future state (“to be”)
processes, systems flows, and data flows

·         Working with various functions and end users to identify,
document, and communicate standard business processes as they relate to the
platform

·         Working with management to identify new and creative
opportunities to leverage the platform to support additional business
processes or functions







*Project Management*

·         Providing project management support in accordance with the
standards/requirements of the Project Management Lifecycle and System
Development Lifecycle

·         Collaborating with the Business Units to define project scope,
objectives, assumptions, dependencies, value proposition / rationale, and
impacted organizational functions and systems

·         Leading/supporting project management activities and deliverable
development including preparation and management of project documents (i.e.
Project Plans, Project Status Updates, Issue and Action Item Log, Meeting
Agendas, Project Specific Deliverables)

·         Conducting project meetings and facilitate collaborative
discussions

·         Preparing and communicating project status updates and issue logs
to the Project Sponsor, Change Management, and Executive Management

·         Collaborating/coordinating with IT in the execution of Quality
Assurance (QA) testing in line with project milestones

·         Resolving conflicts and negotiating changes in project priorities
and/or scope



*Training, Documentation, and Communication*

·         Developing training plans, materials, and documentation for
database users; keep materials up-to-date, and coordinating new user and
ongoing training sessions worldwide, contributing to user adoption and
system value across the organization

·         Supporting the monitoring and response to adoption rates as
needed (additional training sessions, communication, modifications, or
other resources) to increase user use

*Technical*

·         Implementing and integrating third-party products/applications
with SFDC

·         Designing and developing reusable code using the Salesforce.com
developer toolkit

*Required Experience:*

·         A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information
Technology, or Business Administration, or related field (and/or equivalent
experience)

·         Salesforce.com experience required

·         Understanding of relational databases &  Salesforce custom objects

·         Understanding of Salesforce best practices

·         Experience in Salesforce project and/or implementation delivery
(SFDC Consultant Certification a plus)

·         Salesforce Administrator and Developer Certification

·         Expertise in MS Visio, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

           Technical (Experience with the following activities is a plus
but not required)

·         Performing skills in VisualForce, Apex and Java

·         Proficiency in SFDC development environments including Apex,
Triggers, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, & Webservices

·         Experience in HTML/XHTML, XML, Java, Javascript, AJAX, SQL and
SOQL

·         Experience with Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC)
methodologies and best practices

·         Qualified individuals should also have relevant knowledge in one
or more of the following areas:

           Alternative Asset Management

·         Exposure to the Financial Services industry, specifically the
Alternative Asset Management arena; Inclusive of Alternative Asset Types –
Derivatives and Swaps (i.e., Total Return Swaps, Credit Default Swaps),
High Yield Bonds, Bank Debt, Forwards, CDOs, Asset-backed Securities, among
experience with traditional fixed income securities and equities

·         Closed End, Open End, and Evergreen asset management
understanding / experience



*Data & Technology*

·         System implementation

·         Reference data management

·         System integration/communication

·         Reconciliations

oHands on experience with core technologies a plus.  Includes:

oGeneva (or Advent Geneva) portfolio accounting system;

oGeneva World Investor (formerly Advent Partner) investor accounting system

oVarden

oClient Portals (e.g. Investment Café, et al)

·         Mobile Technologies Comfort in working with and analyzing large
volumes of raw data

·         Experience working with Information Technology (IT) partners both
internal to the organization and provided by external 3rd parties to
enhance/implement technology solutions in line with business needs
