Experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator (SQL Server 
2008/2012/2014)
Experience as a SQL Server database developer(writing T SQL, stored 
procedures, optimizing queries by execution plan etc 
Experience in data cleansing/conversion using scripts in SQL server 
2008/2012/2014
Experience in ETL/Automations using integration services (SSIS) 
-2008/2012/2014
Experience in Data Warehouse using SQL server 2008/2012
MUST be able to understand and enforce SQL server standards in creation and 
deployment of new database objects 
Experience in SQL Server security and maintenance of security objects 
Experience with object promotion strategies between databases in different 
environments-dev, test, QA,production 
Experience in working with large databases of 300 GB or greater 
MUST have the ability to see problems and solutions from an enterprise 
perspective 
Experience mentoring staff not familiar with relational database concepts 
Experience with flat file and index table database construction as used in 
mainframe databases
 
 
The selected Consultants will work closely with the designated I.T. 
supervisor, project managers, and other developers in an iterative 
development environment. The work scope of the consultant will include 
requirements gathering, application design, application development, 
testing, deployment and technical support.
 
The Consultants, in working with ODPS staff, will be responsible for 
rewriting legacy applications to .NET applications utilizing C#, MVC, WCF, 
SQL Server and other technologies. 
 
The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is requesting a rewrite of the Ohio 
Liquor Law Enforcement (OLLE) case management system. In addition to this 
request, the creation of an electronic citation (eCitation) module written 
for the current instance of OLLE is being asked for. This new eCitation 
module will also be instantiated within the new OLLE system once rewritten.
The new applications will implement a 3-tiered architecture and comply with 
ODPS coding standards.
The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and 
assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. 
Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production 
support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of 
skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by 
the Application Team. The Programmer works with the Functional Architect 
and Technical Architecture Specialist on an as needed basis to ensure that 
design and code meets customer requirements.
 
*Preferred Education:*
4 year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study 
preferred.

large complex systems.

•Demonstrated technical expertise integrating a variety of diverse 
technical environments and cross-platform technologies.

technical teams.
•Ability to make best practice recommendations based on past work.
•Proven ability to present complex technical constructs to business and 
non-technical users.
•Proven ability to collaborate with business users, project managers and 
technical architects.
