ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE PREFERRED.* Title: Oracle DBA Location: San Antonio, TX Duration: 12-18 months We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This position is primarily responsible for utilization and management of databases. Please speak to the relevancy of your work experience in your cover letter. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:* - Install, configure and maintain Oracle database products - Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases in general - Create and support custom applications using VBA, SQL, and .NET applications. - Provide customization support in Remedy for government needs. - Develop Oracle databases and provide user support. - Communicate (written and oral) with members of the team - Must have DBA experience in working in a Healthcare environment, preferably in Pharma. - Backup/restore of databases in production, dev and test environments - Maintain database security and integrity controls. Helps to formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. Conduct daily monitoring and maintenance activities. Perform troubleshooting of system/database issues - Maintain documentation related to database design and operation. Investigate database enhancements to improve the reliability, maintainability and performance of the system. Evaluate and install database patches/security updates - Support any customer required security certifications.
