Functional Test Engineer Location: Reston, VA (local candidates preferred) Duration: 1 year Job Description:* Need Functional Test Engineer for testing applications Required Skills:* Functional tester with excellent skills in creating test cases, test plans and finding defects. Candidate must be willing to roll their sleeves up and learn several different applications within suite of applications. Must be a team player with great communication skills, willing to collaborate effectively with fellow QA members, in addition to DEV/PM/RA's and business partners. Majority of the testing will be manual in nature, but definitely a plus if resource has an automation test background using Selenium WebDriver. Web services is also a plus, but not required. Tester needs to be familiar with browser matrix testing and have some familiarity with web accessibility compliance. Must have proven multi-tasking skills to test several projects at a time. Familiarity with Rational's ClearQuest is a plus as it's required defect management tool for this specific team. Preferred Skills:* Solid team player with great communication skills. Prefer tester who thinks outside the box and is a critical thinker when testing applications. Prefer a tester who is well spoken and outgoing, not being afraid to voice concerns, risks, issues in regards to roadblocks as it pertains to delivering high quality products.
