NEED SOMEONE FROM *THE MEDIA OR ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY* *LOCATION: Los Angeles* *DURATION: 1 Year plus* *Phone+F2F* *Skills Needed:* *BSA- *8-10 years experience- 60% technical, 40% BA skills- this person needs to be technical enough and have an understanding of data modeling, doing UML diagrams, working with architects, BRD’s/BFD’s, SDLC *Pluses- *Any exposure to Digital Asset Management (DAM), Media/Entertainment experience, UNIX experience *Primary Responsibilities* *1.** Analysis and Design* · Conducts fact gathering sessions with customers. · Consults with other team members to identify and analyze technology needs, business needs and problems. · Provides input for application design activities. · Writes technical specifications for application components. · Prepares estimates for design, coding and testing. · Designs complex process flows. *2.** Development and Testing* · Performs Unit Testing and debugging of applications. · Develops application documentation. · Develops new complex features and functions for software applications. · Identifies complex integration and user acceptance test scenarios. *3.* *Production Support* · Develops user documentation. · Participates in production support activities. · Works with other IT departments on integrated system support, as required. *4.* *Administrative* · Works as a member of a cross-functional, integrated development team. · Performs workload planning, tracking accomplishments, team meetings and status reporting. · Communicates plans, status and issues to management regularly. · Adheres to department standards, policies, procedures and industry best practices. *5. Departmental Responsibilities* · Senior BA interested in expanding management skills while maintaining hands-on involvement in report development and application support: · Supports the initial build, enhancement and production operations of the Esprit Application and the Media Framework. · DAM, MAM, CMS experience is highly suggested · Experience with large scale systems implementations, taxonomies, library systems is a plus · Develops comprehensive business processes flows, application security modeling and the ability to interface with the end users. · Participate in design and development of reporting and statistics. · Solid understanding of SDLC from design through production implementation required. · Organizes and extends existing operations and troubleshooting documentation, so as to allow Int’l Regional IT teams to provide more comprehensive Tier 1 application support. · Serves as a coach to expand knowledge of the application. · Develops understanding of application functions, to lead troubleshooting of test and production issues. · Detail oriented. *Knowledge:* · Excellent knowledge of System and Business Analysis · Good understanding of deployment strategies for distributed and multi-tiered applications. · Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies. · Knowledge of relational database concepts and database management systems. · Knowledge of the Windows operating system and development tools and environments. · Knowledge of Entertainment industry business practices a plus. *Skills:* · Capable of translating complex business needs into technical solutions. · Experience supporting a high-availability environment, nearly 24/7 operation a plus · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to create process flow diagrams and flowcharts using Visio or similar charting tool. · Complete understanding of MS Project or equivalent. · Skills or understanding of SQL, stored procedures, triggers and views, preferably using SQL server and Access.
