The particular initiative includes high priority Decision Support System development and enhancements. The work will involve integrating GIS/location-based services, maps, and geo databases into current internal and mobile platforms. The maps and databases will be for internal staff and public users to perform map-based searches and queries to supplement and replace other information databases and retrieval mechanisms. Another focus is to tie together front end application/database systems with GIS systems to integrate and transfer information between them and provide security permission to the datasets. The resource is responsible for design, coding, application development, testing, and deployment related to the above enhancements. The resource will need to help State Park staff develop GIS layers, attributes, and domains necessary for the system enhancements. This will include development of data collection applications to facilitate the development of the GIS layers. The resource will work as part of Park Information Management System (PIMS) team to enhance the Decision Support System (DSS) web portal, with internal customers, and other application/database developers.
