*Position: **SQL Server DBA in Memphis* *Length: 12 month plus contract* *Rate: Max I can pay is $37.00 per hour on a corp. basis* Position Description: Administer SQL Server RDBMS system, utilizing the Windows 2005/2008 Operating Systems, SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012 with active/passive cluster (development, test and production). Extensive experience with RDBMS Systems (backup, recovery and cloning) is required. Disaster recovery experience is desired. Thorough understanding and hands on experience managing multiple Databases either on a standalone and cluster RDBMS systems. Thorough understanding of SQL and hands on experience using database backup/recovery utilities Thorough understanding and hands on experience SAN technology Hands on experience tuning database objects, SQL, PL/SQL, TSQL or equivalent Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-Motivator and works with limited supervision Must be able to deliver quality and accurate work, provide results, meeting or exceed deadlines, communicate with stakeholders Must have worked in a 24x7 distributed environment. Minimum of 5 years’ experience with SQL Server RDBMS or equivalent Experience with Windows Server Operating System Experience with VERITAS NetBackup running in an Windows/SQL Server environment.
