I have a Dev Ops position for Detroit, MI. See below, The Advance Development Support/Systems Engineer will utilize strong technical skills in order to design, develop, and deliver exceptional software solutions within the Advance Development ecosystem. The Support/Systems Engineer role will encompass working on supporting current and future Advance Development software components. In this role, the Support/Systems Engineer should expect to utilize problem solving, written and oral communication, and system and application server administration. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline • At least 3 years of support experience • Experience in application support for Java, JEE, C#, Oracle, JMS, XML • Understands Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), software design patterns • High level of sound logic and analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex • High level of oral and written communication skills • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others Preferred Qualifications: The J2EE Support Engineer will be responsible for the proper functioning and performance of applications in production • Ability to analyze / trouble-shoot multi-threaded code • Basics of unit-testing; write test-case to re-create the production defect and demonstrate the fix for on-going prevention • Support the Operations Team by promptly responding to escalated consumer and client requests, incidents, and inquiries • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience • Familiarity with deploying applications to and administering J2EE application servers (WebLogic & Tomcat) • Resolve production incidents identified.
