Position : QA Test Engineer Location : Atlanta GA Duration : 6 Months Hourly rate:$40/hr Required Skills : JUnit, Selenium, Karma, Protractor • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) • A minimum of 5 years of professional Quality Assurance or Software Testing experience • 3+ years of experience working in an agile environment Job Overview: In this position, you will be responsible for designing Testing Strategy and implementation of highly complex modules, critical components and whole application/product release in its entirety. Establish vision to understand, design and integrate quality within SDLC. This position works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. The position is responsible for driving the Software Quality Engineering efforts across unit, module, system and user acceptance testing. Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Lead impact assessment and decision related to Quality Engineering plan and strategy for the whole release. Provide expert oversight, mentoring team members and leading quality initiatives in large development efforts. Experienced in effectively delegating work. Have a proven track record of successful problem definition, decomposition, and estimation. Demonstrate deep understanding of competitive landscape, latest trends and technologies in Quality Engineering. Demonstrate the ability of benchmarking against competition. Expert level skills in building value proposition with total customer focus Provides subject matter expertise in quality engineering processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations. Navigate through ambiguity, prioritizes conflicting asks and shows ability to adapt to changing project situations Demonstrate expert level skills in collaborating with different stakeholders, Influencing decisions and an ability to take strategic view. Lead Quality Engineering efforts across the product version/s Provide expertise in continuous integration process and test automation while mentoring and training team members in the process. · Uses test automation techniques (data driven, pairwise, mocking, test hooks) that fit the problem space. Understands designing and coding for testability to produce quality code with the lowest cost. Basic Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) · A minimum of 5 years of professional Quality Assurance or Software Testing experience · 3+ years of experience working in an agile environment Eligibility Requirements: · Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen · Must be willing to travel · Must be willing to work out of an office located in Atlanta, GA (Buckhead) Desired Characteristics: Technical Expertise: Experienced in planning and leading testing efforts for software development projects. Skilled in designing and documenting test scenario statements and in testing defined test cases · Advanced knowledge of software testing tools, defect and test case management tools. Experience with test Automation tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Protractor, Karma, Jasmine, TestNG, Jmeter, Junit. · Advanced understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and QA processes - adept at Agile methodologies and how QA/testing fits in this paradigm · Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, OSGI, XML, Spring, SQL, Oracle and Shell scripting. Business Acumen: · Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems · Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts · Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trends · Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices Leadership: · Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members · Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions.
