*Mounds View, MN Sr. SAP ABAP Development Support Coordinator (47597) 18+ Month Contract* *upon offer, candidates must complete background check and drug test* JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing functional and technical direction for the support team serving the SAP platform. The primary function of this role will be to govern support staff to successfully triage, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues. A secondary function will be serving as an active support team member. Activities will include analyzing, designing, developing, modifying, testing, and implementing system code. This will require the ability to conduct research into existing modified code, understand standard SAP code, and then provide recommendations to resolve issues and restore service. This role will be responsible for ensuring the team understands and adheres to Global IT standards, procedures and methodologies for project management and system development. MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Perform technical support and system development functions, consistent with defined service levels, for assigned business applications. • This includes the ability to: o Work closely with end-users to identify issues and capture business requirements. o Translate business requirements into system design specifications o Perform appropriate development and testing activities o Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing o Coordinate activities between both functional, Development and other IT departments. o Create appropriate documentation as defined by the development methodology. • Manage all phases of small to medium development efforts from initiation to implementation. • Designs, develops, codes, and tests complex programs for SAP modules and functions using ABAP programming language. • Documentation, system development, and implementation. • Maintain a productive relationship with business and Process teams. • Constantly seek ways to increase efficiency in the delivery of services, while maximizing our value to the business. • Maintain competency in the technologies related to responsibilities. • Manage multiple support and development tasks concurrently. • Develop and maintains a broad theoretical understanding of current hardware and software technologies. • Develop test data and analyze problems in programs. • Recognize the critical elements of complex application problems develop and evaluate data, determine solutions, and make logical recommendations. • Express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing • Work effectively and independently on assigned projects. • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with administrators, technical and functional team members, and users. • Represent the organization as the prime technical contact on projects.
