Sr. Hadoop Administrator Lincolnshire, IL 18-Month+ Contract Hourly rate : DOE **PHONE AND F2F INTERVIEW REQUIRED** Required Skills : Hadoop, Hive, PIG, Zookeeper, Administration Skills Job Summary: • Primarily responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of Hadoop infrastructure • Work as part of our operational team and participate in and provide expertise to development teams • Ensure Hadoop environment is secure, healthy, backed up, and ready for all contingencies • Monitor and troubleshoot Hadoop clusters using a variety of open source and proprietary toolsets • Manage user and group access to various Hadoop resources • Data capacity and node forecasting and planning • Perform service level, and application updates, patches etc. • Evaluate and propose new tools and technologies to meet the needs of the organization Qualifications: • 2-year experience in Hadoop administration. • Experience in Ambari, Zookeeper, Avro, Hive, Yarn. • Experience with Linux operating systems • Experience with Cluster monitoring, performance tuning. • Experience with user access group design on Hadoop • Experience with scripting language such as Perl, Python, Java • Experience with troubleshooting potential configuration problems. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong collaboration skills, responsive to service needs and operational demands Thanks & Regards; SAHITYA Astir IT Solutions, Inc.
