Our customer in Western MA has a need for an EDI SI Consultant for 6-9 months. Work needs to be onsite, but they will hire from a phone interview. H1 candidates are fine, but they need to have good communication skills. Consultant should have good skills with SI troubleshooting, app development and understand business processes. Thanks *Responsibilities* - Manage EDI and associated Business to Business interfaces and relationships - Evaluates customer requests for new or modified programs assessing feasibility, time and cost requirements and system compatibility. - Perform gap analysis for new partner or process requests and provide detailed design specifications where new development is needed. - Support EDI implementations with customers and vendors, managing VAN and trading partner relationships - Create testing and migration procedures to ensure seamless integration of new partners or processes. - Support and customize existing EDI System components including translation maps, business processes, service configurations, partner configurations and communication processes. - Design, develop, and implement EDI transactional methods to support trading partner specifications - Create and modify EDI document maps between the enterprise application from the EDI translation software - Provide analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation of existing and future EDI systems components with emphasis on ensuring the consistency and dependability of EDI transactions. - Create processes for consistency and dependability of EDI transactions - Formulate standards and procedures for data and system availability. Address and communicate errors. Ensure continuous monitoring - Supports and develops monitoring processes to ensure 100% production uptime for EDI systems. - Provides support for the maintenance of all related software and hardware. - Prepare detailed system design specifications including file systems, processor requirements and peripherals. Prepare timelines and requirements for completion of each project. - Ensure compliance of industry standards related to EDI and dependent areas. Provide business and technical expertise during and after the implementation of EDI partnerships. - Manage resources in the development and maintenance of EDI systems *Skills* 4 years of EDI and related technical experience, minimum 2 years mapping experience, knowledge of floor ready merchandise requirements. Experience with ANSI X12 EDI, SQL, XML, BPML, FTP, script languages required. Demonstrated skill with ANSI X12 transactions related to wholesale distribution, Sterling B2B Integrator, B2B Integration software tools and protocols and communication standards.
