Business Analyst role in Memphis This role is in Memphis TN Strong SQL desired, must be strong communicator The business analyst will act as a liaison between the application developers and the business community to define business and system requirements. They will perform this by conducting user interviews, preparing current and proposed system flow diagrams and preparing the functional specifications. The business analyst will assist the systems analyst in the development of technical specifications, system test plans, cases and scenarios. They will conduct system testing and work with the development team and the end user through resolution. The business analyst will also assist the project management team in planning tasks and deliverables according to business priorities. *Candidate Profile* - In depth knowledge of systems development methodologies and basic project management understanding. - MUST HAVE COMMON SENSE!! Proven ability to gather, understand, document and communicate business requirements and to translate them into systems specifications. - Knowledge of either Distribution or warehousing system implementation background. - Strong analytical ability. - Well-honed communication, presentation and organizational skills required. - Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently. - Will accept more "rookie" candidates if they demonstrate the "complete package ie communication, intellect, common sense". Since their systems are internally developed (WMS/ERP) they are looking for someone who understands warehousing, distribution and/or supply chain.
