Project Information:
Product that is based on technology from IBM called HATS (similar to
beautifying green screens on AS400s – bridges gap between mainframes, can
add elements). Used across all Casinos, customers want to update mailing
address or email address. Built in RAD (goes with HATs). Deployment
environment in Websphere. Java application talks to AS400 using HATS. 4
to 5 WebServices that get deployed talk to enterprise
Running into difficulty in production, new deployments are a nightmare.
Staffing: Lead Level Developer moving into architecture or Architect
Level hands-on
Technologies & Tools:
Must Have:
Lead Level Developer moving into architecture or Architect Level hands-on.
Needs someone to come in and bring in best practices for web based
applications, teach them how to do deployments, etc.
• Java – using Java 6
• J2EE
• JMS
• XML
• WebServices (SOAP) – developers and consumers
• Spring
• Websphere (or other application server)
• Maven
• Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, can set it up)
Strong Plus:
• Desktop application development experience (how would I collect
logs from a PC?)

• Relational Database
• Hibernate
• Tibco Business Works, EMS
