Successful candidates will propose enhancements to the security architecture and improve current implementations. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* - Implement, support, and manage Bluecoat Internet proxy and VPN systems - Review security event log data and investigate anomalies. - Implement support and Manage Application Firewalls. - Support and maintain file integrity monitoring systems. - *Support and maintain global IPAM / DNS solution.* · Prepare project plans, presentations, and reports on assigned projects and department performance metrics. · Manage antivirus system, monitor for viruses, and validate signatures are up to date enterprise wide. · Assist with guidance on encryption technologies, standards, and usage. · Configure, monitor and maintain software firewall implementations on desktops, · Maintain up-to-date procedures and documentation to support IT security processes. · Monitor vulnerability notices and provide engineering support for security patch distribution. · Monitor performance and activity of information security systems and services, conducting research on future solutions, and making recommendations to Information Security management based on such research · Provide on-call 2nd and 3rd level support coverage, on a rotating schedule, after hours and on weekends for Information Security - Document security equipment configurations and procedures. - Perform periodic penetration testing of all applications and network elements for adherence to company security policies. - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures. - Other duties as assigned *QUALIFYING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/SKILLS* - BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - SANS, GIAC, or CISSP certification is preferable - A minimum *of 5 years’ experience as a Security Engineer in large enterprise environments* - In depth knowledge *of TCP/IP protocol suite including dynamic routing protocols* - Thorough understanding of operating systems such *as Windows, UNIX, and Linux, securing systems configurations and management* - *In Depth knowledge of DNS* - In depth knowledge of firewall technologies, experience with *Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and incident response* - Understanding of application architectures such as messaging, databases, web servers, and other common applications - Experience reviewing systems security to ensure compliance with best practices, local and federal government regulations - Experience with some or all common security products such as PaloAlto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Juniper, Cisco IDS - Familiar with common vulnerability analysis tools like NMap, Nessus, and Whisker to perform TCP/IP packet level diagnoses. - *Familiar with IDM and PKI solutions. * - *Experience with Ethereal, AiroPeek and other sniffer applications to perform security threat analysis on network traces * - Strong written and oral communications skills · Must be able to work under strict change management guidelines. · Project management experience.
