Software Engineer Minneapolis MN 1 year $50/hr Client : Ameriprise - Minneapolis Seeking a Technical Lead with Java background** Candidate must have 3 years in JAVA development plus 3 additional years in a TECH LEAD role. Brokerage/financial industry experience is strongly desired. Provide operational leadership and contribute to software development activities for assigned project(s) by developing, documenting, testing, modifying and maintaining new and existing software solutions may include hands on development as needed. Effectively plan all design, development and testing work to assure the pre-determined release schedule is met. Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to the development life cycle. Bring application(s) and technology expertise to the specification and design development process. Provide technical expertise and leadership on assigned projects, to include establishing new infrastructure environments, interfaces and interrelationships with other applications and systems. Provide technical guidance and expertise to other technical members of project teams. Qualifications: Knowledge of and Experience coordinating with Cross Commits – MFT, Middleware Experience implementing/installing third party applications Java development – Leading and executing Cognos reporting development – leading and executing Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Previous experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems or process desired Ameriprise Experience desired Proven experience in custom application development and technical implementations Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience and to direct technical resources Experience with system integration implementations. Ability to drive results Excellent problem solving, analysis and critical thinking skills Effective verbal and written communication skills with a successful track record of building and maintaining strong business relationships. Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks. 4 to 7 years of TeamConnect development experience 4 to 7 years of experience with Java, Unix/Linux, Unit, XML, and Databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) 1 to 2 years of experience in TWS Ability to lead resources Ability to work in onsite-offshore model.
