PeopleSoft Consultant Sun Prairie WI 9 Months: $DOE/hr rate Must have GREAT communication PeopleSoft,Peoplesoft Financial Management, PS 9.X Not just an Admin. Must have install and intergration experience roject= this resource will support the People Soft 9.2 Re-install project team. This additional resource requirement is to support the recent decision to host the new People Soft 9.2 / Oracle database platform internally. **Working with the implementation partner and internal infrastructure- MUST Have thick skin and deal with a lot of different personalities -MUST HAVES: -at least 8 years of p.soft financials exp -technical role -9.x is required -tool experience of –process schedules, at messaging, web servers, app servers -must have installed from scratch p.soft financials -Linux OS and Oracle Database exp Below is a list of responsibilities for the PS Admin role that will be needed to install and support People Soft Financials 9.2 should decide to host internally. This position would be fully responsible for installing all People Soft related components within the hosted Oracle database – People Soft 9.2 Financials application platform. · Install and Administer multiple PeopleSoft environments along with the corresponding non production databases (Demo, Development, Test, QA) · Ability to be on-site in Sun Prairie, WI. · Will install, maintain, monitor and report on web/application server tier components in a complex redundant, load balanced environment. · Work closely with the Business System Analysts, Administrators, DBAs and Linux System Administrator to support the PeopleSoft enterprise systems. · Maintains PeopleSoft system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor. · Advanced experience managing critical corporate applications in a multitier enterprise environment. · Advanced skills necessary to architect, build, tune, upgrade, patch and maintain corporate applications with emphasis on the PIA (PeopleSoft Internet Architecture). · Ability to leverage tools to troubleshoot these environments with emphasis on process schedulers, Application Messaging, Tuxedo Application Servers and Web Servers. · Ability to develop scripts and automation to achieve repeatable processes. · Ability to recover failed systems using industry standards for business continuity. · Understanding of PIA setup, server configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and performance tuning · Familiarity with Change Assistant, Upgrade Assistant, Integration Broker, Load balancing on process schedulers, SQL · Familiarity with 3rd party software (Crystal, nVision, Tuxedo) · Experience performing PeopleSoft project migrations through the Development Life Cycle · Secures PeopleSoft system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation. · Thorough understanding of platforms such as Linux OS and Oracle DB. · Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
