*Role* *TEST LEAD* *Location* *Manhanttan, NY* *Duration* *1 year Contract* *Job Description* *Responsibilities* - QA Test Lead will be responsible for leading the testing phase of projects, and will serve as a consultant to the project manager and other QA team members during the implementation of a variety of application systems. - A consistent demonstration of excellent communication and organizational skills is a must, as the person selected will serve as a project resource and liaison to customers during the implementation or upgrade of their systems. - Responsibilities include identifying the appropriate resources needed, assembling the test team, defining and gaining approval on the testing requirements, assigning individual testing responsibilities, defining detailed test scenarios that meet the testing requirements, developing the test plan to ensure timely completion of the testing phase, and reporting the status of testing. - Completes planning and assurance of testing systems and associated activities from participation at design stage through implementation independently. Implements large projects. Coaches development of staff. - Minimal 8 years in QA - 4 years as a Lead - Strong Banking Industry experience *Knowledge:* - Linux - Strong SQL Queries experience (MySQL and Oracle) - Experience with web services testing; use of tools like SoapUI for web service testing - Java Application Testing (Java/J2EE, Tomcat, and Web Services) - Proven understanding of automated testing methods as well as proficient at executing and editing scripts within a mature Automation Framework using Open source and Industry Standard tools - Create and execute automated testing strategy as well as scripting guidelines - Strong knowledge of industry standard Metrics and KPI’s with ability to ingest and output to a dashboard to monitor and report on automation results - Strong detailed test case writing skills - Ability to create test strategy and test plan documents - Stock Trading - C# or Java scripting - Jira - QTP (a plus) - Ability to learn/adapt quickly - Ability to support multiple projects with competing priorities *Remote Work * *NO* Thanks & Regards; SAHITYA Astir IT Solutions, Inc.
