  Job Title: Billing application support analyst

Glastonbury CT

6 Months

Provide support and maintenance for the Billing applications within
Production, Test and Development environments. Perform day-to-day
maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks
related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues
resolution or escalation. All job duties and responsibilities must be
carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Configuration management:

o Install and configure new software.

o Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with installs

o Perform routine audit of systems and software.

o Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.

o Assist performance Tuning team on System performance tuning activities.

o Configure, add, and delete file systems as required

· Research, perform root cause analysis and resolve problems in the
Production, Test and Development environments. Maintain incident tickets
and service request cases in a timely and efficient manner.

· Participate in systems analysis, general systems design, and detail
systems design. Maintain in depth functional knowledge of the supported
applications and interdependencies

· Respond promptly to application alerts and issues and follow through to
resolution within the established SLA

· Manage communication on the issues and problem statement of the issue to
the customers. Escalate production impact details and able to elaborate to
management.

· Ensure all production changes are made in accordance with lifecycle
methodology and risk guidelines

· Assist developers with setup and debugging issues. Answer technical
questions and assist users.

· Attend training as needed, and will learn user functions, organization,
and role in the enterprise to the extent required.


KNOWLEDGE  REQUIREMENTS

· Technical knowledge and skills:

Windows 2008 and higher

jBoss 6.x EAP, jBoss 7.x CE (experience with jBoss application deployments)

SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2 (ability to create and execute scripts)

Java/JDK 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 knowledge (good to have, but not mandatory)

Experience with IIS, C#, VB.Net is a plus


· Ability to handle multiple complex tasks at once

· Ability to work well with team members, customers and management.

· Possesses excellent communication skills – written and oral,
interpersonal and organizational.


EDUCATION  EXPERIENCE

· College degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science,
Business Administration or related field preferred.

· Five plus years of system administrator/programmer/analyst experience.

· Experience with Java applications support/deployment is required

· Experience with VB.Net, C# applications support/deployment is a plus

· Experience with Majesco Billing Application is a plus
