Title :DB2 UDB Data Architect
Location: NYC Duration: 6+ Months Hourly rate : Open Database architect technical lead to perform strategic renovation of mission-critical distributed infrastructure for real-time trade capture and market/reference data gathering to support the CVA trading desks. This individual will work with the business users and fellow architects/developers to understand business/technology requirements, derivative products, and existing data flows in order to renovate and enhance functionality. This role requires an individual who is experienced in large-scale database development and complex data flow systems. The candidate will be involved both in strategic data feeds renovations as well as day-to- day system maintenance, closely interacting with business users, quants and other technology groups. Strong leadership skills, including effective communication, project management, and in-depth understanding of derivatives products data and processes, are also essential. Qualifications Key technologies are DB2 UDB/Sybase, Informatica, Java, Perl, Unix shell scripting, and Autosys. The system processes OTC derivatives (IR, FX, Credit, Equity and Commodities), listed derivatives, repos, stock loans, and other instruments that carry counterparty risk. Prior experience with financial data required.
