Senior VB Developer

seeking candidates for a Visual Basic Developer position with a strategic
client in the Corporate and Investment Banking Industry in Jersey City, NJ.

The scope of the project involves development services in the Collateral
Domain. The developer will need to work in an Excel based environment. They
will be coding in both standard Excel formulas, Excel Visual Basic as well
as the new Java based solution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, analysis, design, and coding software applications
• Work as integral member of technical teams, supporting standard SDLC
phases by regularly performing tasks such as interpreting program
specifications and providing analysis, contributing to design, and
programming/coding
• Debug programs and troubleshoot application issues, in production and
development
• Ensure timely completion of assigned work

Required Skills:
• 5+ years’ experience with Visual Basic is required
• Experience in Java / J2EE and related technologies is desired
• Experience with Core Java, Spring and Hibernate is desired
• Knowledge of SDLC
• Ability to work in an agile environment
• Strong design skills
• Strong communications skills
• Ability to analyze existing application code base and provide impact
analysis
• Understanding of Capital Markets is required
• Experience with Microsoft Excel formula creation and troubleshooting
• Experience with VBA programming

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
