Location: Buffalo NY No of positions: 2 Duration: Long term Client: Banking Opportunity: The Technical Systems Manager is responsible for the management of all activities related to the successful planning, documenting, testing and implementation of all work performed by the development team. Provides direction and performs specialized analysis and research of systems modifications to resolve issues or implement enhancements. Ensures the adherence to all department and technology standards/procedures including all documentation requirements; assigns resources and monitors progress of all assignments; ensures completion of schedules. Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for leading the technical delivery team for the Enterprise Governance Risk & Compliance system (Archer) This role will lead a team of software developers and partner with technical architects, business analysts, project managers, quality assurance analysts and business stakeholders to drive high profile, external customer facing projects. Interpret business unit needs and translates them to design solutions that identify customer and operational impacts. Works closely with Business SME, Technical Architects and industry experts to identify innovative solution and process changes to meet business requirements Drives cross-functional team in development of function specifications, use cases, and UI/screen design for complex online business functions Responsible for managing client relations and expectations Recommends new technology, methodologies and processes to benefit the organization and improve deficiencies. Responsible for the job growth and career development of staff members by providing training plans, guidance and sharing knowledge. Responsible for building a positive client relationship and building rapport within the organization Ensures adherence to all department and technology standards and procedures, including all documentation requirements Basic Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree, 4 years of experience in a related technical environment Eleven or more years of experience in application development related work, i.e. staff management, systems analysis and a systems development environment Experience with and detailed knowledge of an eGRC product preferred, but not required (Archer ideal). Five or more years of experience managing a development team of 5 or more Excellent communication and organizational skills to be able to present to a target audience Application software and architecture background/knowledge with an emphasis on emerging technologies/software Ability to understand technical, business and operational impacts of a project or problem Proven strategic thinking abilities Experience in large scale enterprise systems development, utilizing structured and industry standard systems development methodology and project management frameworks Solid understanding of current industry trends, web technologies, usability best practices, and information architecture Detail orientated/articulate with strong time management/organizational skills High energy level and strong commitment to driving results.
