Responsibilities include both front-end and back-end design, development, and unit testing of all code developed. Additional responsibilities include documenting code developed and fixing bugs in the development of various applications. *Job Duties/Responsibilities:* Experience in the agile software development process and in the design and development of web applications and message oriented applications. Experienced in HTML and XML related technologies including but not limited to XSLT and XML parsers, Web 2.0 technologies, architectural patterns, design patterns, JEE framework and other related frameworks as related to industry best practices for software development, EJB services, and implementation of Web Services. Hands-on experience in the design and implementation of SOAP and RESTful services to perform systems integration. Ability to interface with other technical leads/developers to perform design and code walkthroughs. Experience in the following tools and technologies: · *Frameworks*: Spring, Java EE, SOA, UML, and MVC, Hibernate · *Development and configuration management*: JBoss Developer Studio, JUnit, JBoss Application Server, and JBoss ESB. · *Software development languages*: Java, JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, HTML, PL/SQL · *Application Server*: JBoss application and Web server · *Build Management and Continuous Integration*: Hudson/Jenkins · *Frontend and JavaScript toolkits*: JSP, JQuery · *Operating Systems*: Solaris, Windows, Linux · *Database*: Oracle 11g, MySQL Enterprise Edition *Qualifications* *Basic Qualifications*: Proven experience developing web and message oriented applications. Excellent analytical skills to uncover root causes to issues. Candidate must be local to the Washington, DC area, or relocate to the Washington DC area. *Security clearance requirement:* All qualified candidates MUST be able to obtain a Federal Government clearance at the Public Trust level. *Typical Education and Experience: *Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
