Analyzes requirements and evaluates testing scope for projects and existing
system changes.

Creates test plans, test cases and tests new or modified software programs
to verify that the programs function according to the requirements and
conform to established guidelines.

Performs functional, end to end, regression, performance and load testing
including back end testing covering the applicable quality attributes.

Identifies, analyzes, and documents problems or issues with program
function, output, online screen, or content.

Creates, retests defects and tracks the status till closure.

Mentors/trains/assists team members and end users, as needed to ensure
timely deployment of high quality code.

*Business Acumen:*
Understands the established quality processes and standards and ensures
their conformity.

Maintains responsibility of multiple quality assurance tasks by
understanding workload, and priorities.

Provides individual effort estimates for tasks that need to be included in
work plans.

Understands application functionality and business functions in end user
point of view.

*Engagement:*
Consults with team members (DEV, QA and Business) as necessary to clarify
questions and resolve issues.

Supports business team(s) during user acceptance testing.

Troubleshoots and reproduces production issues and helps DEV teams to fix
and deploy to production.

Responsible for driving individual results, prioritizing work, evaluating
results and taking corrective action as needed.

Applies and ensures internal controls are complied with in accordance to
corporate policies and standards.

Assists the team with the completion and delivery of QA tasks.

*Qualifications*
*Education, Certifications/Licenses:*
Required:
o BA/BS *Or *Equivalent academic education and experience
Preferred:
o CSTE or SQA or any equivalent certification
*Related Work Experience:*
Required:
o 3 to 5 years of Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience.
Preferred:
o Utility Industry experience
o Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
(Oracle, java, .net, etc)
o Good interpersonal skills including teamwork
*Applicant may possess a combination of equivalent education and work
experience.*
*Specific Skills & Knowledge:*
Required:
o Ability to deliver results in cross functional/multiple location team
environment
o Understanding of SDLC methodologies
o Ability to foster collaborative relationships
o Ability to deliver multiple concurrent work assignments
Preferred:
o Excellent communication skills and aptitude to work with business
process owners and technical users.
*Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: *
This person works in an office environment.
Occasional Traveler (5-20%): The person will be required to travel on
occasion. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from
home for one or more nights.
