* BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY *

   - The Ecommerce Business Analyst will work with the company’s commerce
   websites. The primary focus is to partner with the Business Team to help
   translate business requirements for the Development team responsible for
   designing and coding a solution. The ECommerce Business Analyst is a
   hands-on position in which the Analyst will be involved in requirements
   gathering, managing deliverables to timelines and milestones, coordination,
   troubleshooting, testing and training. The ECommerce Business Analyst must
   understand and have experience working with Ecommerce, web platforms and
   packages. The ECommerce Business Analyst must be flexible to be available
   nights and weekends to provide hands-on support for the deployment of the
   initiatives into our production web site.



*DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES>*

   - Provides a high level interface between the IT Applications
   Development team and functional groups.
   - Actively participates in cross-functional team/task forces working
   closely with the user community applying an IT/Business perspective to
   identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
   - Utilizes broad business and technical knowledge base to assess
   problems and solutions from a business perspective with a focus on what the
   customer really needs.
   - Supports and enhances existing systems, as well as developing new
   ones, defining business requirements, providing accurate estimates,
   creating/executing system test plans and training plans, creating user
   documentation and implementing and supporting high quality IT solutions.
   - Liaises with and ensures that the IT Technical Development team
   provides cost effective, high quality solutions to meet the defined
   business requirements.
   - Works under limited supervision and provides leadership to team members
   - Mentors and coaches fellow IT Business Analysts
   - Provides accurate budget and timeline estimates for proposed solutions
   and takes ownership of those estimates.
   - Provides vision when designing and developing new and innovative
   solutions.
   - Works directly with the business and IT team to conceive and implement
   a solution to satisfy various business challenges and objectives.
   - Responsible for the development of project plans including timelines
   and resource allocation and drives team to adhere to plan.
   - Drives projects through full development life cycle.
   - Addresses daily support issues with urgency and ensure that
   resolutions are meant to solve the root of the problem.
   - Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company
   to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
   - Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as
   required*.*

*EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE*

   - Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of business experience is
   required.
   - Minimum of five years formal system development experience is required.

*SKILLS*

   - AS/400 and JD Edwards experience is preferred.
   - General business experience including sales, distribution and
   warehouse is preferred.
   - Expert knowledge of financial systems is required.
   - Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and project
   management skills are required.
   - Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint is
   required.
