*Job title :Cognos Architect/Developer* *Location :Jersey city, New Jersey* *Duration :6+months.* Cognos Architect/Developer. This role's primary function is to manage the full system life cycle of Cognos projects including analysis, design, construction, testing and deployment of reports and dashboards using Cognos Analytics (Cognos Version 11). *Cognos Analytics Version 11 is a brand new product. We will consider developers with Cognos 10 experience who have had exposure to Cognos 11.* * Additional responsibilities include:* · Creating, enhancing and maintaining Framework Manager data models and packages. · Ability to design & develop reports/dashboards · Able to write complex relational Oracle queries to help with data validation. · Define and follow Cognos development best practices. · Analyzes, troubleshoots and tunes product performance and fixes deployment issues. · Interact with business units, business analysts, and IT professionals throughout the product life cycle. *Required Qualifications:* · Bachelor degree in computer science (or related field). · 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing. · Good understanding & knowledge of Database & Data warehouse concepts. · Must have recent experience in Cognos 10.x and Cognos 11 version. · Cubes and Dimensional modeling expertise · Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. · Cognos administration experience is a plus.
