*Position : IT Security Operations Engineer* *Location : Cambridge MA* *Duration : 6+ months* *Interview : Phone then F2F * *Overall Summary:* Client is seeking a collaborative, motivated and experienced Senior Information Security Engineer to join our team. This engineering role is responsible for evaluating technologies, assessing risk and performing all functions required to ensure day-to-day data security operations across a broad suite of information security infrastructure. The engineer will participate in the planning, design, deployment, installation, and maintenance of security systems in support of security policies. *Core Responsibilities:* · Provide Engineering oversight and Operations support of all IT Security technologies such as firewalls, IPS, proxy systems, SIEM, Logging, DLP, Anti-Virus, PKI and other security devices/services. · Expertise with Authentication and Authorization – IAM, PAM, Kerberos, CyberArk, etc… · Ensure Security solutions are operationalized – Documentation, Pilot/POC, First Deployment, 3rd level support, etc. · Ensure solutions and documentation comply with NIST CST and other industry best practices · Establish and manage relations with peers, vendors and equipment suppliers. · Perform Risk assessments. *Qualifications:* · Minimum 7+ years professional experience with Checkpoint/Cisco firewalls, Symantec, BlueCoat, Cisco ASA, ArcSight, QRadar, Qualys, Splunk, Tufin, UNIX Admin, and other leading security industry tools. · Demonstrated expertise of Access Management applications · Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives, individuals and project teams in a matrixed environment. · Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload - multiple incidents, projects and deliverables · Expertise of network protocols/stack and Internet standards including TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, SMTP, SSL, PKI, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, Routing, Switching, IPv4/v6 and others. · Excellent planning, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. · Experience working with and oversight of Vendor Managed Service providers · Experience supporting a 24*7 highly available corporate-wide global enterprise · Proven ability to meet deadlines following security best practices (NIST CSF, etc) *Experience/Skills Required:* · *Bachelor’s degree* · *Seven or more years delivering and supporting information security infrastructure support* · *Expert knowledge of CheckPoint firewall technologies* · *Expert knowledge in the design and configuration of a network DMZ.* · *Expert knowledge of firewalls, load balancers and proxies and core services.* · *Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, common protocols and standards.* · Demonstrated experience working with information security practices, software, and hardware. · Demonstrated experience with DLP and IPS/IDS systems. · Demonstrated experience in computer security combined with risk analysis, audit, and compliance objectives. · Demonstrated experience with security tools - Rapid 7’s Nexpose application preferred. · Strong working knowledge of LINUX (RedHat / variant, Ubuntu, Suse) · Strong process oriented individual with experience in ITIL concepts. · CISSP certification is preferred but not required. · CheckPoint CCSE is highly desirable. *Ankush Nirala* E-Solutions Inc 2 N.
