Please find below position and let me know your interest. Role : Senior Datastage ETL Designer Location: Portland, Oregon Duration : 8 Months Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills 1. In-Depth knowledge and experience (6+ years) of using IBM InfoSphere Information Server Datastage (preferably versions 8.0+ ) to develop ETL/data integration/data warehousing projects. A good conceptual understanding of different types of parallelism, partitioning/collections is required. Experience in developing parallel jobs and a good knowledge of capabilities different builtin stages in datastage and their limitations 2. Knowledge of datastage administration. Knowledge of datastage configuration file, clearing out locks in datastage, user accounts setup, project setup, datastage engine credentials setup, applying patches to the datastage server etc. The candidate should have skills to be able to troubleshoot system issues in datastage server. 3. In-depth knowledge and experience in developing data integration projects involving different data sources (files, databases – SQL server/Oracle). The candidate should be highly skilled in writing efficient SQL and must have experience in tuning SQL queries. 4. The candidate must have high level design skills and provide technical leadership to the ETL team. He/She should be able to provide ETL architecture which results in efficient ETL work flows. He/She should be capable of writing ETL specifications document 5. The candidate should have extensive knowledge in performance tuning of datastage jobs. Should be able to troubleshoot the jobs for source systems issue, data issues and other ETL job failures 6. Knowledge of processing XML using datastage’s Hierarchical XML transformer. 7. Highly skilled in using linux shell scripts (and command line tools) to automate the orchestration ETL work flows. A knowledge of python programming language is desirable. 8. Experience working with SQL Server 2008 database. Knowledge of T-SQL is desirable. 9.
