*Job Title: MicroStrategy Architect. Location: Austin, TXDuration : 11+
Months contract. *



*Responsibilities:*

   - Work with project and business team to develop MicroStrategy reports
   - Understand requirements and prepare technical specifications
   documentation
   - Design and code MicroStrategy, including plug-ins that meet product
   specifications and development schedule
   - Work closely with ETL developers and other leads during development
   and support of this BI application
   - Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
   - Perform technical analysis, creating designs, and identifying impacts
   (functional/technical)
   - Assist in functional and system testing of integrated reporting
   applications, Dashboards, and KPIs
   - Test and debug assigned components and units
   - Participate in large system and subsystem planning
   - Collaborate with DBA on data warehouse elements that affect software
   reports and dashboards and works with them to resolve incompatibilities
   - Troubleshoot problems and provide customer support
   - Advise on characteristics that affect application systems, such as
   storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements

*Requirements:*

   - Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication/consultative
   skills with a proven ability to express ideas, concepts, and technology
   approaches in business compelling language
   - Strong documentation skills and experience writing Design Documents in
   compliance with the project delivery methodology
   - Quick learning and ability to function with little supervision
   - Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English well
   - Minimum of 4-7 years of hands-on experience with the following
   MicroStrategy v9i components: Architect, Desktop/Developer
   - Minimum of 4-7 years of hands-on experience with Schema Objects, OLAP
   Services, BI Developer Kit, Intelligence Server, Object Manager, Report
   Services, Mobile and Web
   - 4+ years’ experience developing Business Objects
   - Thorough understanding of the reporting components of MicroStrategy,
   Informatica, and Oracle as well as 1 other interface such as Crystal
   Reports, MS Access, and Web Focus
   - Strong demonstrated experience in MicroStrategy and other BI products,
   deep knowledge of data architecture, BI concepts, and creating
   MicroStrategy schemas
   - Familiar with SQL query and knowledge of Teradata and Oracle with
   exposure to at least 1 of the following: Hadoop, Neteeza, DB2, SQL Server,
   etc.
   - 4+ years’ experience building MicroStrategy Reports
   - 4+ years’ experience as a MicroStrategy Architect
   - Ability to build complex dashboards using reports as filters
   - Ability to do advanced filtering
   - Ability to read and analyze report specifications prepared by business
   analysts
   - Capability to interpret database schema documentation including
   entity-relationship diagrams
   - Ability to develop, test, and promote report
   - Understanding of GUI standards and GUI evolution
   - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related
   technical discipline with some technical training
   - Strong knowledge of distributed systems, architecture, design, &
   software development best practices with proven success in implementing
   enterprise-level applications and leading a team of developers
   - Must be a self-starter and drive key processes from conception to
   completion while working well in a team environment
   - Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills

   - Business Objects certification
   - MicroStrategy certification
