*Position :Hadoop Developer* *Location : Charlotte, NC * *Duration : 6+ Months* *Interview : Phone then F2F* *Job Description: * Hadoop developer responsible for new development on Cloudera Hadoop using Map Reducing programming, HDFS, Oozie, hive, sqoop , java and shell scripts and modifying and maintaining existing applications on Hadoop. Knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop using Map Reducing programming, HDFS, Oozie, Hive, Sqoop , java and shell scripts. Modifying and maintaining existing applications on Hadoop. Ability to learn applications, new technology quickly and work independently on new projects. Associates will work closely with data analysts and quant team to understand the new requirements and deliver. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience. *Minimum Requirements:* • Hadoop development experience in HDFS, Oozie, Hive, Sqoop, map reduce programming etc. • Core java programming, shell scripting experience. • Basic Unix OS working skills • RBMS (Oracle, Netezza, SQL server) knowledge for development using SQL/PL SQL. Desired Requirements: • ETL knowledge • Exposure to BIG DATA • Source control management (SVN) • Job scheduling eg.
