*Position : Route/Switch Data Center Network Engineer* *Location : New York* *Duration : 3 Years* *Interview : Skype* JD - Deliver both first and second level remote infrastructure hardware and software support services as directed by client contracts to resolve product use and multi-product/platform problems, and/or questions relating to enterprise systems, networks and application software, as well as desktop applications that are related to network connectivity that are beyond the scope of the client’s first level help desk support function. Provide alerts and situation status information to both client and Unisys management. During times that the issue is identified to be non-network related, still provide excellent customer service and at least direct the customer in the right direction. Perform monitoring and triage of customer networks. This includes both responding to automated incidents generated by monitoring tools as well as creating manual tickets based on observations and/or customer requests. A primary focus is the response to, triage, and management of incidents to resolution which may include coordination with third-party vendors, customer contacts, or other groups. Paramount to this activity is keeping notes in the tracking tickets updated with accurate details. Work with and supervise other engineers, specifically vendor technicians who need physical data center access to perform scheduled tasks or respond to critical issues as they arise. Participate in the weekly meetings and actively engage with various engineering teams. Actively participate in the Change Advisory Board meetings to explain changes and answer any questions from the change board. Roll out the production changes over the weekends as per guidelines set. Act as an escalation point for all the Level 2 Deployment Engineers and the Level 1 NOC. Troubleshoot network issues related to changes and provide a day to day Level 3 operational support as a part of the Network Operations Center (NOC). Working in outage scenarios to remediate Networking related issues. Reading and Decoding packet captures using Wireshark. Root Cause Analysis for outages.
