*Job description*

The Production Support group prides itself in keeping the applications and
systems of Visa up and running to cater to the 24*7 needs of the business.
As part of the team – you will be responsible for supporting critical
applications and ensure the stability of the applications by performing
proactive maintenance activities, engage in automation activities, do root
cause analysis and remediation. The role requires working knowledge of
production support processes such as incident/change/problem management,
call triaging, escalation procedures and such. The role will also demand
the ability to write and maintain scripts to monitor system activity
including application smoke test activities during pre and post production
implementations.

•Administer the change management process by promoting projects and objects
through the various environments.  Educate report developers with report
development standards and enforce the standards during MicroStrategy Object
promotions
•Maintain optimal performance of the application by conducting performance
monitoring and tuning activities; utilize knowledge of best practices and
industry standards to make recommendations regarding performance.
•Manage, install, configure and maintain MicroStrategy software releases;
conduct analysis for new releases/upgrades and make recommendations as
appropriate. Performs and schedules software installations and upgrades to
operating systems and layered software packages, and maintains them in
accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
•Support MicroStrategy systems and related infrastructures during
system
upgrades and maintenance.
•Serve as a technical expert providing input to application design
regarding environment, tuning, and administration requirements.
•Support MicroStrategy systems and related infrastructures by resolving
escalated and technically complex incidents in a timely and efficient
manner.
•May provide direction and guidance to lesser-experienced systems
administration staff to assist them in their role and understanding of more
complex systems administration.
•Provide project setup and user/developer support as required .
•Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
•Establish user security profiles and application security model.
•Maintain project schemas.
•Complete documentation of the tool and associated processes as required.
•Provide on-call 24x7 Production support as needed
