Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer
Location: Trevose, PA
Length – 4 to 8 months
Interview process: Phone then Onsite
I am looking for a Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer (8 years of exp
atleast)
Basically they bought the Power BI and now they need to set it up
There are 6 data Analysts that will be using it (right now they are on
excel )
So they need a SME to come in and set it up
Someone who knows Dax within power bi is key
*Job Requirements:*
· Experience in consulting, implementation and maintenance of DW /
BI tools.
· SQL programming (BI focused preferably skilled with SSIS, SSAS,
MDX, *DAX*, Data mining).
· Develop and optimize T-SQL code, including database scripts,
triggers, SSIS package and stored procedures for multiple applications.
· Detail oriented and expected to ensure highest level of
quality/rigor in dashboard/report development & data analysis.
· Constantly reassessing database performance and offering
suggestions for improvement.
· Participate in design / code reviews, project planning and
estimation.
· Familiarity with main types of software development life cycles
is a plus.
· Versatile working with all service aspects of high throughput and
multi-tenant Azure services, such as Windows Azure, or SQL Azure is a plus.
*Required Qualifications:*
· 8+ years of DW & *BI* experience required. Strong SQL knowledge
is a must.
· At least 5+ years of relevant experience in Microsoft SQL Server,
SSAS, SSRS, SSIS preferred.
· Must have front end & back end reporting experience.
· Strong understanding of data warehouse design concepts,
principles and database structures.
· Extensive experience developing queries, reports, and forms in
database programs.
· *Must have implemented 2 Power BI projects.*
· A comprehensive understanding of business practices as they
relate to database management.
· Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative
manner.
· Good time manager, able to juggle numerous tasks simultaneously
to meet project deadlines.
· Candidate must be self-motivated, possess excellent verbal and
written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment,
excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
