 *Technical Requirements*

·           Networking knowledge, core routing and switching (Cisco).

·           Network security appliance knowledge (Cisco ASA).

·           Must have experience supporting NetApp FlexPod technologies.
Experience with CIAC and vCloud Director preferred.

·           Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
in a virtualized environment.

·           Extensive hands on experience with IP-based and Fiber
networking for SAN/NAS.

·           Knowledge of system management best practices,
scheduling/recovering from SAN array snapshots, complete backup and
restoration experience.

·           Strong experience with NetApp Secure Multi Tenancy solutions.

·           In depth understanding of datacenter technologies including
networking, storage, compute, and of virtualization.

·           Must have knowledge of system management best practices,
monitoring, change control, etc. as it relates to the FlexPod environment.

·           Thin client workstation (Citrix or VMware VDI) support.

·           Working knowledge of Active Directory.



*Job Description*

This position has responsibilities focused around the smooth running of the
enterprise cloud and internal computing environment ensuring server,
storage, network and hypervisor availability is maintained at the highest
level. Responsible for managing complex incidents and resolution.

 The successful candidate is an IT professional with hands-on experience in
NetApp FlexPod production environments.  In addition to superb technical
skills, the candidate must have a strong customer service orientation and
excellent communication skills. We are looking for a driven, self-motivated
individual who can complete projects with minimal direction or oversight.
This position is focused on the support and maintenance of the NetApp
FlexPod solution.

 The FlexPod Administrator is responsible for the day to day support and
maintenance of the Netapp FlexPod environment.  The FlexPod environment
consists of two FlexPod systems at the primary and DR data centers.  The
purpose of the environment is to run a production SAP system with several
supporting landscapes for development and testing.

FlexPod support is needed in specific subject areas (Cisco UCS, Cisco
Network, NetApp, VMware, and Linux).  The FlexPod Support administrator
will provide on-site Tier 1 and 2 operations support including being an
escalation point of contact for troubleshooting and issue resolution.

 *Duties and Responsibilities*

·           Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for FlexPod technologies and
peripheral components, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.

·           FlexPod chassis & other equipment installations and
configurations.

·           Wiring of patch panels and equipment.

·           Interface card removal, installation and configuration;
Install, replace or remove equipment, such as a router, switch card, disk
drive, memory, etc.

·           Review network performance in troubleshooting and for general
improvement.

·           Inventorying/labeling and spares management of equipment.

·           Moving equipment within space and cabinets.

·           Site related documentation such as hardware receipt/dispatch,
vendor coordination.

·           Provide in depth working knowledge of FlexPod technologies.

·           Provide strong working knowledge of virtualization.

·           Create and refine support procedures and processes, including
an operational run book.

·           Provide strong working knowledge of Cisco Switches,
specifically Nexus.

·           Assist Build Teams with implementations as necessary.

 *Education and Training*

·           Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

·           One or more of the following certifications are preferred:

·           CCNA or CCNP (Route/Switch)

·           NetApp Certified Architect (NCIE)

·           VMware Certified Professional (VCAP-DCA preferred)

·           Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

·           Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE or MCITP)

·           Data Center Unified Computing Support Specialist (DCUCSS)



*Professional Experience*

·           Minimum of 5 years FlexPod Support and Maintenance Experience.

·           Experience in (VMware / VSphere) virtualization platforms.

·           Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

·           Experience configuring and supporting storage systems (NetApp).

·           Experience configuring and supporting server systems (Cisco
UCS).

·           Experience with documentation of design, system builds,
configurations, and support procedures.

·           Ability to work independently and in a team environment to
produce outstanding results.

·           Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).

·           Experience working in a data center with racking and wiring
responsibilities.

·           Experience upgrading firmware versions and recycling hardware
as needed.

·           Experience working with 3rd party vendors in
replacing/upgrading data center equipment.

·           SAP systems support a plus.
