·         *Typically a Senior Commercial insurance Business Analyst is fit
for this role*

·         Own the Product Backlog for a professional services team
(prioritized list of user stories) and regularly review ensuring there is
'just enough' detail for each story.

·         Work with the Senior Product Owner to define and drive strategy
and vision for your team’s part, evangelizing to the team and providing
needed context.

·         Setting team priorities and motivating the team to deliver based
on a clear view of value.

·         Liaise with the wider business to ensure that priorities are
clearly understood.

·         Prioritize the order of stories based on business value.

·         Be available for story acceptance ensuring conditions have been
met as per defined criteria.

·         Day to day decision making on deliverables and escalations,
basing those decisions on knowledge of the business area, customer and
empirical evidence.

·         Working with Project Directors and Project Managers to understand
business and customer priorities to allow management of customer
expectations.

·         Accountable for fully realizing the business benefit of stories.

·         Acting as an interface to other teams ensuring dependencies are
understood and upcoming pipeline is known.

·         Accountable for the team's understanding of what is required;
ensuring high quality and unambiguous user stories are produced.

·         Take an active role in Sprint Planning meetings, working closely
with the Scrum team to determine which stories will be committed in the
sprint.

·         Be able to undertake the product ownership role across multiple
teams being able to make strategic decisions based upon that wider
visibility.

·         Contribute to the wider global services strategy making certain
that it always referenced when considering the value of all prioritized
work.

·         Lead backlog refinement sessions effectively communicating the
‘what’ and ‘why’ of each story to the scrum team enabling accurate
estimation.

·         Clearly communicate the vision, plans, objectives, commitments,
benefits, results and performance measures and progress against plans to
all stakeholders – tailoring communication as appropriate to ensure
relevance to the audience.

·         Owning the short, medium and long term product vision and
execution for the team to deliver value for both our customers and company.

·         Actively engage with the company’s product ownership community to
share good practice.

feed learnings back into the product ownership process and team.
