*Requirement:*
Client is seeking a Senior Java Developer with Hybris Platform
Experience who has At least 10 years’ experience developing J2EE
applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and web services and a proven
history of delivering successful business solutions in a fast-paced Agile
environment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as both
a leader and a hands-on code developer. The primary area of focus will be
Java web application development for an application on the Hybris platform,
including the design, coding, testing, and support of major application
components.
*Expectations*
The Senior Hybris Java Developer is expected to do the following (General
Rough estimate of job responsibilities):
- 10% of work week on management tasks
- 10% on production support
- 40% on technical analysis and design
- 40% on writing unit tests and code
- Work closely with the Director, other Senior Developers, Quality
Assurance, User Experience, and Creative teams
- Take ownership and accountability for deliverables in all phases of
the development lifecycle
- Engage with key stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and
provide estimates of development effort
- Learn the application, along with its application framework, data
model, and user interfaces
- Deliver high quality business solutions on-time and within budget
- Recognize and effectively communicate risks to project timelines and
quality
- Work effectively in an Agile environment, using the Atlassian suite
(Jira, Confluence, Stash, and Bamboo)
- Ensure technology, security, and process standards are followed across
your projects
- Comply with PCI, HIPAA, and other applicable laws and regulations
- Coach and mentor coworkers
- New Code Development
- Analyze, design, code, unit test, implement, and support new software
components and enhancements
- Design and develop highly-functional, reusable software components and
processes
- Understand and communicate technical and functional design requirements
- Proactively participate in application and component design and review
activities
- Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards.
*Problem Analysis*
- Engage in technical analysis to define the problem, identify solution
options, and recommend an approach
- Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions and productivity
improvements
- Diagnose and find pragmatic solutions to identified problems
- Create ad hoc queries and reports using SQL
*Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
education and experience
- At least 10 years’ experience developing J2EE applications using Java,
JavaScript, HTML, and web services
- Working knowledge of Agile Methodology

- Ecommerce experience
- Experience with application suites, particularly Hybris
- Working knowledge of frameworks in each language (Spring, Hibernate,
etc.)
- Experience integrating applications or data across disparate systems
- Integration tools & techniques (ESBs, SOA, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, etc.)
- PCI / Data security techniques
- MS SQL Server Management Studio
