*Our buyer (the VP of Cyber Security) needs to assemble a team, apprx 20
product based InfoSec folks, by the end of the year. These are not Corp IT
Information Security humans. They will be focused on building and enhancing
the internal security features that are embedded within the different
Client’s products.*
Business lines are Consumer (Thermostats, security systems, etc) and
Commercial (HVAC, security systems, etc).
DEVELOPERS
Looking for people with *a Software Engineering background with a solid
grounding in applied security and secure development lifecycle*. Language
is not as important as the security lifecycle, but he’d lean more towards
C/C++ than Java.
Really looking for somebody with a solid grounding in Security Controls,
and familiarity with OWASP Top 20 concerns like Cross Site Scripting, etc.
Need to have a great grasp of IP protocols, experience in tools like
Wireshark, Metasploit, and Kali Linux builds are a helpful indicator
(though it’s important they be developer types, not IT Generalists).
Another important part of this would be understanding MS Tools and
generating an actionable Threat Model.
*CSSLP certification would be a big plus, as it shows they have exposure in
the relevant areas.*
