PeopleSoft Performance Tester (HCM)

Location Oakland, CA  (Phone then Skype)

Duration: 12-18 months+





Minimum 4 years of Performance Testing experience, preferably in PeopleSoft
HCM Applications testing

Excellent knowledge of HP testing tool, specifically HP LoadRunner.

The UC Path Performance Tester is responsible for developing and
implementing testing techniques and performance testing scripts to
sufficiently test the performance of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management
(HCM) and interfaced applications by working with business functional users
and IT personnel. The person will be responsible for providing detailed
reports which will provide assistance in tuning system performance and
making future decision for the applications. The ideal candidate will also
have PeopleSoft HCM functional experience, experience designing and
implementing performance testing strategies, and understand system
monitoring and system tuning.



Duties of this position include the following:

Good Hands on experience in performance testing tool HP LoadRunner
scripting – MUST HAVE

Good Hands on experience in HP LoadRunner components

Experienced in translating functional requirements into automated
LoadRunner scripts

Experience with large ERP system implementations

Experienced in providing gap analysis of test data requirements

Gather business volume metrics and assemble workload transactions for
performance testing

Develop and document manual and scripted test cases.

Design and execute load test and stress test to characterize system
performance, capacity, and availability

Develop and maintain test scenarios to meet testing objectives

Document, track, and escalate system performance issues

Identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations based on performance test
result analysis

HCM Applications testing

Excellent knowledge of HP testing tool, specifically HP LoadRunner.

Experience defining the scope for performance tests, and with managing and
executing performance testing

Detail oriented and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines

Good understanding of QA lifecycle and methodology

Knowledge of SQL queries and ControlM is a plus

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work on cross-functional teams

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Display effective analytical skills
