UI/UX Designer

Learning Design & Solutions creates digital learning experiences for
students and faculty. Student experience drives design thinking ideation on
through to prototyping, testing and piloting. The User Experience Designer
collaborates with academics, learning designers, editors, graphic artists,
webapp developers and others to design and build innovative learning
experiences. Responsibilities:
· Create user experience designs (interface design comps, visual
design specifications, prototypes, etc) for medium- to large-scale
projects.
· Collaborate with leadership team, product management and learning
design leads to define and implement innovative solutions for product
direction, visuals and experience. Responsible for overall UX solutions and
ensures usability is delivered within project constraints.
· Communicates UX design solutions to stakeholders via prototypes,
detailed specifications and other communication documents as appropriate.
· Collaborates with designers and developers to ensure that visual
design mockups are created with strong consideration towards usability,
consistency and tailored success metrics.
· Demonstrate state-of-the-art expertise in UX design and apply
this knowledge in projects
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual Communication Design,
Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Arts or Graphic Design, Cognitive
Science, Industrial Design or related field required.
· Strong knowledge of UI/UX interface design processes and
methodology, as applied to web and mobile based applications
· Proficiency in rapid prototyping and execution
· Knowledge of design, usability best practices, content management
and responsive web design.
· Online portfolio showcasing visual and interaction design ability
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field or in a related
area.
· Experience designing and producing interactive graphical learning
objects, including developing 3-D objects.
· Ability to adapt to styles and concepts of other artists on the
team to produce a cohesive and uniform design.
· Ability to work on multiple projects with short deadlines.
· Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in the educational field.
