Barry, you're my hero! Pressing Shift while clicking on the Properties tab
*totally* fixes the problem! Then I can unpin the Properties window again
and F4 works as expected. I tested by debugging, which always pins the
Properties window while it's hidden, then pressing Shift while clicking on
the Properties tab, then unpinning the window, then pressing F4, and it
works again. Wahoo!
