What? I didn't catch the origination of this thread but feel compelled to respond. True this is a technical forum which means we use the tools discussed in this forum to solve our problems. It does not mean that we are all employees of Microsoft or agree with all of their decisions.
It is very common to make abbreviations of companies names (some humurous) and does not necessarily indicate age. I am a 12 year programming veteran and have great respect for much of what Microsoft does. I disagree quite directly with much of what Microsoft does and feel, unless proven otherwise, that much of what they do is arbitrary and designed to force consumers down a certain path. This type of behavior is fitting of the moniker M$. While I agree that this is not a forum to bash Microsoft it is also not an altar either. I'll continue to use the tools I need for the job (some M$, some not) and pay the appropriate vendors for those tools.
