I have two .exes designed to be the two ends of a socket communication messaging system that runs across a network (I have to interface to a legacy system). I am currently running them both on the same machine to make sure that they can talk to each other.
My question is if an application sends and receives socket communication on the same machine, does it actually use the NIC card? And how can I verify this? Thanks!
